{"id":274746,"date":"2025-11-10T05:17:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T05:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/274746\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T05:17:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T05:17:11","slug":"supercars-news-david-noble-to-step-down-as-djr-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/274746\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars news: David Noble to step down as DJR CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/2025-NTI-Townsville-500-Supercars-Z81_4315_.jpg\" alt=\"David Noble to step down as DJR CEO\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDick Johnson Racing CEO David Noble.<\/p>\n<p>The ex-North Melbourne Kangaroos AFL coach has spent three years leading the storied Supercars squad, which is undergoing several key changes for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>They include losing Ford homologation team and engine supplier status to Triple Eight, swapping veteran driver Will Davison for rookie Rylan Gray, and the resignation of Noble.<\/p>\n<p>Noble said he wants to explore new opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came into motorsport with a background in sport and football administration with focus on high performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been exciting adopting those principles and practices in the high-octane world of Supercars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew opportunities have opened up for me which I need to explore, and the time is right with the team wrapping up its homologation team and engine supplier responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have positioned the team for sustainable success in the coming years, where DJR can look forward and simply focus on going racing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Team owner Brett Ralph said the team will undertake a \u201cglobal search\u201d for a replacement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDavid came in during a period of significant change and has left us in a far stronger position than when he arrived,\u201d said Ralph.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s set the foundations for what comes next and we\u2019re incredibly grateful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s accomplished a lot in that time and navigated us through some significant challenges, always with a view of the bigger picture. We wish him every success for what\u2019s next.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Noble also thanked the team\u2019s many supporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to thank the team owners, staff, partners and passionate supporters for their openness and inclusiveness over my time with the team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish the team all the best and am grateful for the friendships and experience.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dick Johnson Racing CEO David Noble.
