S\u00e9amus Power struggled to his worst round of the week at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico but maintained his push to retain his PGA Tour card.<\/p>\n

A final round two-under par 70 saw the Waterford man finish on 17-under par at Cabo San Lucas, a dozen shots adrift of winner Ben Griffin.<\/p>\n

FINAL LEADERBOARD<\/a><\/p>\n

A third-round 67<\/a> fuelled belief that a top-10 finish and valuable FedEx Cup points were there for the taking. A birdie at the first was the ideal start, but disaster struck at the fourth when he was forced to take a dropped shot and laboured to a double-bogey six.<\/p>\n

He picked up three further shots to end up tied for 27th.<\/p>\n

Power is 135th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings with only the top 100 at the end of the season enjoying full status next year.<\/p>\n

He is projected to rise to 133rd after his performances in Mexico, and has two remaining tournaments to try and get inside the top 100, next week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship \u2013 an event he has won in the past \u2013 and the season-ending RSM Classic.<\/p>\n

Griffin meanwhile added to his breakout season by shooting a final-round, nine-under-par 63 to secure his third win of 2025.<\/p>\n

Griffin was consistent all week but started the day two shots back of South Africa’s Garrick Higgo.<\/p>\n
