Pedro Acosta\u2019s hopes of finishing third in the 2025 MotoGP standings have officially ended, but he is unbothered by this, noting \u201cour target is not P3 or P4\u201d.<\/p>\n
The factory KTM<\/a> rider came into the Portuguese Grand Prix with a 31-point deficit to third-placed Marco Bezzecchi in the standings.<\/p>\n Though finishing second in the sprint and third in the grand prix, a dominant win for Aprilia\u2019s Bezzecchi<\/a> has put him out of reach of Pedro Acosta<\/a> in third in the standings.<\/p>\n Bezzecchi is now 35 points clear of fourth-placed Pecco Bagnaia heading into the final round of the campaign.<\/p>\n Acosta still has a chance to secure fourth in the standings, as he trails Ducati\u2019s Bagnaia by just three points.<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n But the KTM rider is indifferent about this possibility, noting that he is here to fight for more than this.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, competitive weekend, that\u2019s for sure,\u201d he said on Sunday in Portugal.<\/p>\n \u201cWe tried our best, as always.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know that we\u2019re still missing to get this victory, but we are doing a really good job.<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s try to keep going.
