{"id":275374,"date":"2025-11-10T12:24:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T12:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/275374\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T12:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T12:24:08","slug":"ducati-has-done-everything-we-can-as-pecco-bagnaias-motogp-struggles-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/275374\/","title":{"rendered":"Ducati has \u201cdone everything we can\u201d as Pecco Bagnaia\u2019s MotoGP struggles continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ducati MotoGP team manager Davide Tardozzi says it has \u201cdone everything we can\u201d to make Pecco Bagnaia comfortable on the GP25.<\/p>\n<p>As the 2025 season nears its conclusion, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/911999\/francesco-bagnaia\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pecco Bagnaia<\/a> is facing the real prospect of finishing fifth in the championship after a difficult Portuguese Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>The double world champion struggled to eighth in the sprint, and was instantly cast adrift of the podium battle in fourth in Sunday\u2019s main race before crashing on lap 11 of 25.<\/p>\n<p>Bagnaia is now 35 points behind third-placed Marco Bezzecchi and only three clear of Pedro Acosta ahead of this weekend\u2019s Valencia Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/ducati-lenovo-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ducati<\/a> has been unable to replicate the feeling Bagnaia had on the bike at the Japanese Grand Prix in the rounds since, with Tardozzi noting that his rider has a \u201clack of trust\u201d in the GP25.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>While he defended Bagnaia\u2019s speed, he admits Ducati has now done all it can to make the bike better for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBagnaia&#8217;s speed was never in doubt; there&#8217;s this lack of trust with the bike that&#8217;s making things difficult for him,\u201d he told Sky Italy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve done everything we could to get him back to the same conditions as last year or the race against Japan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe we&#8217;ve done everything we can; if anything&#8217;s still missing, we&#8217;ll have to talk to each other and clarify why and how to reach a conclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bagnaia struggles have caused tension within Ducati already this year, especially with team-mate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1654\/marc-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Marquez<\/a> dominating for his seventh world title this season.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>The Italian believes his feeling on the bike has been improving, but admitted on Sunday in Portugal that the Ducati is still the best machine on the grid and he is not taking advantage of that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know what I can do and what the team can do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, we\u2019re missing something, and we have to find a solution for the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s quite difficult to understand, and the team is working on it. I think we did a good job this weekend, like in Sepang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to continue like this, but these aren\u2019t the results we want.
