Gold Coast Titans<\/a> coach Josh Hannay<\/a> has been putting out fires left, right, and centre since joining the club, and looks to be eyeing yet another hurdle.<\/p>\n

England’s AJ Brimson<\/a> has suffered a Grade Three AC joint injury, scans revealed, compounding the side’s 3\u20130 Ashes series whitewash against Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brimson, who recently switched allegiance from Australia<\/a> to England<\/a> through his mother’s heritage, sustained significant AC joint damage during the opening 10 minutes of England’s 30\u20138 defeat at Headingley.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old was forced to limp from the field, leaving coach Shaun Wane<\/a> devastated.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s really, really damaged his AC, it’s bad, and they’re really painful,\u201d Wane told AAP.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was so gutted to come off.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s a brave kid and he’s loved his time here.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s been a great addition to our squad, I’ve been really impressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The injury ends Brimson’s first series in English colours prematurely, with the Gold Coast Titans<\/a> confirming Brimson will aim for a January return date.<\/p>\n

Wane admitted Brimson’s early exit heavily impacted England’s attack, forcing him to redeploy Mikey Lewis<\/a> at fullback, a position he hadn’t played in for two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat hurt us a lot, no doubt about it,\u201d Wane said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt hurt the way we do everything, but I thought we adapted well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The heavy defeat capped a disappointing series for England<\/a>, who were swept 3\u20130 on home soil.<\/p>\n
