As this year\u2019s season of The Golden Bachelor<\/a>\u00a0approaches its end, fans have called for one contestant to be cast as the next Bachelorette. While nothing has been officially announced, Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that the format could be coming to Aussie TVs soon.<\/p>\n

Transformation coach Jan Herdman<\/a>, who received Barry \u2018Bear\u2019 Myrden<\/a>\u2019s first impression rose in episode one, was sent home on Sunday night\u2019s episode<\/a> just before the hometown dates. Bear told the 66-year-old it was a \u201chard\u201d decision, and he \u201cabsolutely loved\u201d getting to know her.<\/p>\n

She kept her head held high as she left the mansion and said that while she wanted a rose to continue the journey, she was proud of herself for letting her walls down and being vulnerable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely deserve love, and I know that,\u201d she remarked in her piece-to-camera interview.<\/p>\n

Although she didn\u2019t find love with Bear, many fans have since taken to social media to say that Jan should be cast on The Golden Bachelorette if Channel 9 were to make it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should be the next Bachelorette!\u201d one person commented, followed by another who agreed, \u201cBear\u2019s loss. The next Golden Bachelorette\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cJAN FOR THE BACHELORETTE,\u201d someone else said while tagging Channel 9.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were so dignified, articulate, and beautiful. Far too good for Bear \u2014 we look forward to seeing you on screen again!\u201d a different user replied.<\/p>\n

Will there be an Australian season of The Golden Bachelorette?<\/p>\n

Following a successful first season of The Golden Bachelor in the US in 2023, a spin-off series titled The Golden Bachelorette aired in 2024, starring former contestant Joan Vassos.<\/p>\n

Contestants from both The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette then appeared alongside one another on a season of Bachelor in Paradise, which was a huge success for the franchise.<\/p>\n

Australia’s Golden Bachelor host, Samantha Armytage<\/a>, told Yahoo Lifestyle<\/a> that although nothing has been finalised yet, she would love to expand the\u00a0franchise here.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we say with this show, you don’t know what the future holds,\u201d she shared last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I think let’s just get The Golden Bachelor\u2019s inaugural Australian season to air and see how that goes, but I think there is a bright future ahead for this show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jan speaks out about ‘incredible’ experience<\/p>\n

Jan admitted to Yahoo Lifestyle at the show\u2019s launch event last month<\/a> that she had an \u201cincredible\u201d experience filming the series with her co-stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like we weren\u2019t actually fighting for a prize, and I don\u2019t know whether that comes from maturity, going through what we\u2019ve all gone through, but I think Bear was a bonus,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
