Victorian Hussien El Achkar<\/a> is a 171cm forward from the Calder Cannons<\/a> and is tied to Essendon as a product of the club’s Next Generation Academy.<\/p>\n

The Pascoe Vale junior kicked 35 goals this year across his commitments with the Cannons and Vic Metro, with a three-goal haul against the Allies a highlight performance.<\/p>\n

He started his CTL season in style, booting 10 goals by Round 3, while a six-goal haul midway through the year against Sandringham was another feather in his cap.<\/p>\n

At times wayward in front of goal, El Achkar would often make up for any inaccuracies with his ability to change a game in an instant, whether that be through his forward craft or pressure in the front half.<\/p>\n

With a move to Essendon likely, El Achkar will look to follow in the footsteps of fellow Dons NGA graduate Isaac Kako<\/a>, who was able to have an instant impact in his maiden season at AFL<\/a> level.<\/p>\n

El Achkar, however, will be afforded time to strengthen his craft early in his career, with Kako set to hold the title as Essendon’s first-string small forward for the years to come.<\/p>\n
