DeKALB, Ill. \u2013 The Northern Illinois University football team travels to UMass for its final road game of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ESPNU.<\/p>\n
The radio pregame show will begin at\u00a05:30\u00a0p.m. on 94-9 WDKB with Andy Garcia, Mark Lindo and Terry Bonadonna.<\/p>\n
NIU fell to Toledo last week, 42-3, on Wednesday night. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Rickey Taylor Jr.<\/a> (Chicago, Ill.\/Brother Rice) led the Huskies in receiving, posting a career-high 69 yards on three receptions.<\/p>\n On the defensive side of the ball, redshirt senior linebacker Quinn Urwiler<\/a> (Mooseheart, Ill.\/North Dakota) recorded 13 tackles and now has 110 on the season. Urwiler is the first NIU player to have at least 100 tackles in a season since C.J. Brown in 2021. Redshirt sophomore linebacker Filip Maciorowski<\/a> (Carol Stream, Ill.\/Glenbard West) finished with 11 tackles and a tackle for loss.<\/p>\n UMass (0-9, 0-5 MAC) comes into the game following a 44-10 loss at Akron. The Minutemen are led by first-year head coach Joe Harasymiak. Wide Receiver Jacquon Gibson is sixth in the Mid-American Conference in receiving yards with 393 yards on 42 catches this season.<\/p>\n Linebacker Tyler Martin is UMass’ leading tackler with 72 stops. Defensive Lineman Marques White has 10.5 tackles for loss, ranking fifth in the MAC, with five sacks this season.<\/p>\n It’s the fourth meeting between the Huskies and Minutemen with NIU holding a 3-0 record. Last season, the Huskies ran for 367 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-20 win at Huskie Stadium.<\/p>\n NIU returns home for its final two games of the season.
