On Sunday, Swedish pop star Robyn<\/a> posted a link to sign up for her mailing list on her Instagram Stories along with the vague caption, \u201cKeep your eyes open\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n After 24 hours of frenzied speculation, the \u201cCall Your Girlfriend\u201d singer confirmed<\/a> in an Instagram post accompanied by a photo of a cyborgian eye that she\u2019s dropping a new single, \u201cDopamine,\u201d on Wednesday. It will be her first new song (not including features) in nearly seven years.<\/p>\n This is actually not the first confirmation we\u2019ve gotten that Robyn was back in the studio. In September, the 46-year-old\u2019s longtime collaborator Klas \u00c5hlund stopped by the Nordmark Pod podcast<\/a>. According to a translation<\/a> from Stereogum, \u00c5hlund announced that he\u2019d \u201cjust finished a new Robyn album that\u2019s coming out.\u201d \u201cSuper exciting!\u201d he added. \u201cVery proud of it.\u201d<\/p>\n While Robyn\u2019s been busy recording features with Charli XCX, SG Lewis, and Jamie xx, she hasn\u2019t dropped any new music of her own since the release of her eighth studio album, Honey, in 2018. We don\u2019t have any hints about the album\u2019s sonic identity just yet, but if I know anything, it\u2019s that Robyn\u2019s music rules the dance floor \u2014 and at least one classic scene<\/a> from Lena Dunham\u2019s Girls.
