{"id":276546,"date":"2025-11-11T00:52:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T00:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/276546\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T00:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T00:52:09","slug":"monaco-responds-to-euroleagues-ban-on-signing-new-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/276546\/","title":{"rendered":"Monaco responds to Euroleague&#8217;s ban on signing new players"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">By Javier Molero \/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurohoops.net\/en\/euroleague\/1892603\/monaco-responds-to-euroleagues-ban-on-signing-new-players\/mailto:info@eurohops.net\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0info@eurohoops.net<\/a><\/p>\n<p>EuroLeague Basketball announced that AS Monaco\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurohoops.net\/en\/euroleague\/1892498\/as-monaco-referred-to-the-finance-panel-euroleague\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">violated the league\u2019s financial regulations<\/a>\u00a0and cannot register new players until the issue is resolved.<\/p>\n<p>La Roca Team\u00a0responded to the EuroLeague\u2019s statement, clarifying that it is neither a sanction nor a final decision, just a provisional measure until the issue is resolved.<\/p>\n<p>Per the press release: \u201cAS Monaco Basket confirms that it has been informed of a provisional measure adopted by the Finance Panel of EuroLeague Basketball, following a request from the Management Control Commission (MCC).<\/p>\n<p>This measure, which temporarily restricts the Club from registering new\u00a0players or coaches in EuroLeague competitions, is purely procedural and\u00a0does not constitute a sanction or final decision.<\/p>\n<p>The Club wishes to emphasize that it has always acted in full transparency\u00a0and good faith, consistently meeting all requirements set by EuroLeague Basketball and other governing bodies. AS Monaco Basket has maintained a solid financial position and has always promptly satisfied every obligation towards all institutional partners.<\/p>\n<p>We are confident that, as part of the ongoing process, the Club will provide all\u00a0the necessary documentation and clarifications requested by the relevant EuroLeague bodies.
