Cameron Green showed Australian selectors that he is back bowling fearsome spells, while fellow all-rounder Beau Webster issued a reminder of his quality in the Sheffield Shield on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Green returned to the bowling crease with a four over spell that conceded only seven runs in the morning session, and yielded the wicket of Queensland opener Angus Lovell, caught behind.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old bowled with impressive pace and exploited the extra bounce at the WACA to take the shoulder of Lovell\u2019s bat with a rising delivery that ended up in the gloves of fellow Test squad member Josh Inglis.<\/p>\n

He also struck Matt Renshaw on the glove and caused the opener discomfort with medical staff having to come onto the ground to check on him.<\/p>\n

The left-hander was okay to resume, reaching his half-century shortly after lunch and he is at the crease alongside Marnus Labuschagne with Queensland 1\/106 after 34 overs.<\/p>\n

Green is aiming to bowl 15-20 overs in Western Australia\u2019s clash with Queensland to prove to selectors that he can fulfil all-rounder duties in the first Ashes Test at Optus <\/p>\n

Stadium starting next Friday, and he returned for a second spell in the second session.<\/p>\n

He was once again economical, conceding just six runs and beating the bat on multiple occasions in a tidy four-over burst.<\/p>\n

In Hobart, Webster enticed selectors to play both all-round options with a five-wicket haul.<\/p>\n

He finished with figures of 5\/50 from 13 overs, including the big wicket of Travis Head yesterday, as South Australia were all out for 177.<\/p>\n

Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey looks in fine touch ahead of the Ashes, cracking a rapid half-century on day two for the visitors.<\/p>\n

Resuming overnight on 25, the South Australian raced towards his fifty in just 47 deliveries, later dismissed by Tigers seamer Gabe Bell following a rain delay.<\/p>\n

In Tasmania\u2019s second innings, potential Test debutant Jake Weatherald fell for 30, chopping on for the second straight innings.<\/p>\n

At the SCG, Victorian seamer Scott Boland has knocked over his bunny yet again, dismissing New South Wales opener Sam Konstas for a sixth time in the Sheffield Shield.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old, dropped from Australia\u2019s Test side last week, was bowled through the gate for 12 after leaving a gap between bat and pad, with his susceptibility to inswinging deliveries still a glaring flaw. He didn\u2019t manage a boundary during his 59-ball stay at the crease.<\/p>\n

The Blues were knocked over for just 128 with captain Steve Smith offering the only resistance, scoring 57 before being the ninth wicket to fall.<\/p>\n

Sam Elliott, the son of former Test opener Matthew Elliott, did the bulk of the damage, taking 5\/26 from 8.4 overs. Boland meanwhile was typically miserly with figures of 2\/27 from 15 overs.<\/p>\n
