{"id":277198,"date":"2025-11-11T08:01:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T08:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/277198\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T08:01:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T08:01:12","slug":"paramount-raising-prices-as-ufc-exits-espn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/277198\/","title":{"rendered":"Paramount+ raising prices as UFC exits ESPN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">There are only four more Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events left on the ESPN deal \u2014 including this weekend\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-fight-cards\/385790\/ufc-322-card-start-time-date-and-location-makhachev-vs-jack-della\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stacked UFC 322 card<\/a> \u2014 before the biggest fight promotion in the world <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-news\/381748\/ufc-signs-broadcast-deal-with-paramount-cbs-ends-pay-per-view-model\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">moves to Paramount+<\/a> in Jan. 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">When the deal was first announced, fans were thrilled. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-news\/381931\/how-much-will-it-cost-to-be-a-ufc-fan-in-2026-after-paramount-deal-12-99-per-month\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paramount+ offered two affordable options<\/a>: the Essential plan at $7.99 per month ($59.99 annually) and the Premium plan at $12.99 per month ($119.99 annually).<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">And sure enough, it isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Today, Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison confirmed to investors that Paramount+ will raise its prices in the first quarter of 2026. The exact increase hasn\u2019t been revealed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cOur ongoing investments in Paramount+ are enhancing the value we deliver to consumers. To support this continued investment, we plan to implement price increases in the U.S. early in the first quarter of 2026,\u201d Ellison said in a third-quarter earnings letter to investors. \u201cThese changes will fuel continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver an even stronger slate of programming for our customers in the year ahead and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cBy removing the secondary pay-per-view paywall \u2013 historically a key barrier for UFC fans \u2013 we\u2019re making these premium events available to every Paramount+ subscriber at no additional cost.
