The film also explores her struggle to embrace her sexuality in a time and environment where being openly gay was fraught with risk, adding another layer to her fight for survival and self-acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>Sweeney, best known for her roles in\u00a0Euphoria\u00a0and\u00a0Anyone But You, underwent months of intense training and a significant physical transformation to portray Martin.
