{"id":277851,"date":"2025-11-11T14:58:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T14:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/277851\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T14:58:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T14:58:11","slug":"lord-of-war-sequel-finally-sets-a-start","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/277851\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Lord of War&#8221; Sequel Finally Sets A Start"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lord-of-war-sequel-finally-sets-a-start.jpg\" data-caption=\"Lionsgate\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lord-of-war-sequel-finally-sets-a-start.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"lord-of-war-sequel-finally-sets-a-start\"\/><\/a>Lionsgate<\/p>\n<p>Two years after the project was announced, filming is finally getting underway on the sequel to Andrew Niccol\u2019s 2005 crime thriller \u201cLord of War\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Nicolas Cage will reprise his role of notorious illegal weapons trafficker Yuri Orlov from the original film for this follow-up titled \u201cLords of War\u201d which will shoot later this month in Belgium and Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>Further casting has been announced with Sylvia Hoeks (\u201cBlade Runner 2049\u201d) and Greg Tarzan Davis (\u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u201d) joining the previously announced cast, which includes Cage, Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd (\u201cIT\u201d), and Laura Harrier (\u201cSpider-Man Homecoming\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The new film sees Cage\u2019s gunrunner Yuri go head-to-head against his own son, Anton (Skarsgard).
