Toto Wolff<\/a>, Mercedes team principal and CEO is currently understood to be holding talks – that are in advanced stages – with the intent to sell a part of his stake in the German team.<\/p>\n

According to Sportico the reported deal values Mercedes at $6bn USD (\u00a34.6 bn), with McLaren being the team that boasted the highest value standing at $4.6bn USD (\u00a33.5bn) – revealed by the team’s structural change in September – up until now.<\/p>\n

Wolff owns a third of the Mercedes F1<\/a> team and would sell a 5% stake, the website reports. The unnamed buyer would join Wolff, Ineos and Mercedes, as the Brackley-based F1 squad’s shareholders, with the latter two keeping their respective third each of the remaining stake each.<\/p>\n

F1 teams’ values have skyrocketed in recent times with Mercedes taking a massive $5.2bn USD leap from its previous appraisal standing at around the $821 million USD mark (\u00a3624 million), back when Ineos originally bought its stake for approximately $270 million USD (\u00a3208 million) in 2022, along with $McLaren’s $4.6bn USD previously referenced value.<\/p>\n

A Mercedes spokesperson told the BBC: “We will be making no comment on this. The governance of the team will remain unchanged, and all three partners are fully committed to the ongoing success of Mercedes-Benz in Formula One.”<\/p>\n

Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s familiarity with certain circuits boosted the team’s confidence ahead of a number of Grand Prix weekends, with the actual result often being a disappointment. However, strangely enough Antonelli’s best performances have come in tracks he’s never raced at, like his Miami pole, his P2 in Canada and his Brazil GP P2, of course.<\/p>\n
