<\/p>\n VESTAL, N.Y. \u2013 Lacey Drake scored a game-high 20 points and added eight rebounds and three assists, leading St. Bonaventure (3-0) to a 68-65 win over Binghamton (2-1) in a non-conference women’s basketball game on Tuesday evening at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center. The contest wrapped up Binghamton’s three-game home stand to launch the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n Drake went 7-for-14 from the field, 2-for-3 from beyond the three-point arc and sank all four of her free throws. Her final two points came with six seconds left in regulation and the Bonnies nursing a 66-65 lead. On that play, Drake took a feed from Mackenzie Pettinelli and drove down the lane for a layup. The Bearcats’ were then unable to make a game-tying three pointer at the buzzer.<\/p>\n Junior guard Bella Pucci<\/a> led Binghamton with 16 points. She was 5-for-10 from the field, 3-for-6 from three-point range and 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Junior forward Kendall Bennett<\/a> added 14 points and a team-best seven rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n Binghamton scored the first 12 points of the game in the opening 4:57 of play. Pucci had five of her points during that stretch.<\/p>\n The Bonnies, however, reeled off 12 straight points of their own in a span of 2:52 to pull within 22-20 with 6:17 left in the first half.\u00a0<\/p>\n The score was tied at 47-47 through three periods and the fourth quarter featured two ties and three lead changes. With the score tied at 65-65 with 30 seconds left, Aaliyah Parker sank a free throw to give the Bonnies the lead for good. St Bonaventure then got a defensive stop, setting the stage for Drake’s clinching bucket.<\/p>\n Senior guard Kaia Goode<\/a> finished with nine points and dished out a team-best four assists. Junior guard Yanniah Boyd<\/a> had six points and five rebounds while senior guard Meghan Casey<\/a> chipped in five points, three assists and a pair of steals.<\/p>\n Brillana Boyd added 15 points in the winning effort.<\/p>\n St. Bonaventure held a commanding 42-31 rebounding advantage, with 15 of its boards coming at the offensive end of the court. The Bonnies also had a 23-17 edge in bench points.<\/p>\n At the free throw line, St. Bonaventure made 13 of its 18 attempts (72 percent) while the Bearcats got to the line only four times – making three of those shots.<\/p>\n
