{"id":279404,"date":"2025-11-12T08:26:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T08:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/279404\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T08:26:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T08:26:08","slug":"home-and-lifestyle-brand-haus-kinder-raises-3-3-million-in-round-led-by-sauce-vc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/279404\/","title":{"rendered":"Home and lifestyle brand Haus &#038; Kinder raises $3.3 million in round led by Sauce VC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Home and lifestyle <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/direct-to-consumer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">direct-to-consumer<\/a> (D2C) brand <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/haus-kinder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Haus &amp; Kinder<\/a> has raised $3.3 million (Rs 30 crore) in a <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/funding-round\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">funding round<\/a> led by <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/sauce-vc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sauce VC<\/a> with participation from angel investors including Yogesh Kabra, founder of XYXX; Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, founders of Mokobara; and the Chona Family, founders of Hocco Ice Cream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026we are trying to be a lifestyle brand and entering new categories. We have (now) entered the curtains category,\u201d said Saket Dhankar, cofounder and CEO. \u201cPost funding, we will be expanding our presence in <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/quick-commerce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">quick commerce<\/a> since there is a lot of disruption happening in the segment for home and decor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The D2C brand sells both homeware and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/baby-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">baby products<\/a> with an online presence across ecommerce, quick commerce, and its own website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumers are upgrading their houses much faster now. We are seeing a change in consumer behaviour moving towards global trends in <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/home-decor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">home decor<\/a>,\u201d said Dhankar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe brand\u2019s ability to spot gaps and respond to what customers want has set it apart in a crowded space,\u201d said Manu Chandra, founder and managing partner of Sauce VC. \u201cThis was an unusually large entry cheque size for us, which was driven by very heavy conviction on the founders and the lack of brands in the very large home linen category.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chandra added that the firm will be investing more in large and late-stage funding within its portfolio companies. Venture capital (VC) firm Sauce VC has invested in brands including Mokobara, The Whole Truth, XYXX, and Perfora.<\/p>\n<p>In the homeware segment, Haus and Kinder is competing with the likes of Nestasia, 10Club, Homecentre, IKEA, and Tata-owned Westside, which also has a homeware range.<\/p>\n<p>VCs are tapping into the new home decor brands as the segment is gaining popularity among users. The Artment secured Rs 10 crore in a funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures last week.
