The rugby league community is mourning the tragic death of South Sydney Rabbitohs junior Johannes Logan.<\/p>\n
It was confirmed on Wednesday the 19-year-old had died, with tributes flowing for the talented footballer.<\/p>\n

Originally from Orange in NSW, Johannes started out playing rugby union before turning his attention to rugby league after moving to Sydney, where he was based in Coogee.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe South Sydney Rabbitohs are mourning the passing of Jersey Flegg Cup player, Johannes Logan, who passed away this week,\u201d the Rabbitohs said in a statement on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cJohannes, 19, was a schoolboy rugby union, water polo and swimming star at St Joseph\u2019s College in Hunters Hill where he played in the first XV rugby team, first water polo team, was captain of the senior swimming team, as well as representing New South Wales in rugby, before joining the Rabbitohs\u2019 pathways program for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n
\u201cJohannes represented the South Sydney Rabbitohs in eight SG Ball Cup under 19s men\u2019s games, and one Jersey Flegg Cup under 21s men\u2019s game, last season.<\/p>\n
\u201cJohannes, who came from Orange in central west New South Wales, was a much-loved member of the Rabbitohs, willing to support his teammates and the Club on and off the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe young middle forward had developed strong bonds and friendships within the playing group and staff, and he will be dearly missed by everyone connected to the Rabbitohs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe South Sydney Rabbitohs, the RLPA, the NRL and St Joseph\u2019s College are supporting the Logan family, Johannes\u2019 friends and teammates, clubmates and staff at this very difficult time, and we all request privacy for his family and friends while they mourn the passing of Johannes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johannes attended St Joseph\u2019s College, was part of South Sydney\u2019s SG Ball program and was on track to play in the club\u2019s Jersey Flegg squad in 2026.<\/p>\n
Standing 6\u20191\u201d and weighing 103kg, Johannes was said to be a powerful presence on the field, and the talented prop was seen as a potential future star of the NRL.<\/p>\n
