Ottawa Senators<\/a> defenceman Thomas Chabot<\/a> will miss Thursday\u2019s game against the Boston Bruins<\/a> while undergoing evaluation for an upper-body injury, Postmedia\u2019s Bruce Garrioch reports.<\/p>\n

Chabot left Tuesday night\u2019s 3-2 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars<\/a> after the first period and did not return.<\/p>\n

The veteran blueliner logged 6:51 of ice time before departing.<\/p>\n

Head coach Travis Green<\/a> told reporters after the game that the veteran blueliner was injured while \u201creaching for a puck\u201d, but Chabot was also on the receiving end of a hit from Colin Blackwell<\/a> before making the early exit.<\/p>\n

In 17 games played this season, the Sainte-Marie, Que. native has recorded two goals and eight assists in 21:55 of action per game.<\/p>\n

A former first-round pick of the team in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Chabot has scored 73 goals and 314 points in 529 career games skated for Ottawa.<\/p>\n
