While it might sound like a bad weather system, it’s exactly the notification some photographers want.<\/p>\n
The storms are what cause the phenomenon known as the aurora australis (also known as the southern lights), which produce a colourful light show in the sky.<\/p>\n
The strength of the storm meant it was visible even on the outskirts of Perth.<\/p>\n
