Novak Djokovic revealed that he and a friend of his don’t speak about both men’s relationship with Jelena Djokovic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Djokovics<\/a> tied the knot in 2014, having dated since 2005. In 2015, the couple welcomed<\/a> their first child, a son, and two years later, their daughter was born, all while Novak Djokovic continued to dominate the tennis world.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before the two became one of tennis’ power couples, Djokovic revealed that one of his friends had dated his now-wife. The revelation comes after the 38-year-old lauded Jelena Djokovic’s ability to remain with the star despite a very hectic lifestyle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the unnamed player and Djokovic are still friends to this day, the latter reveals that the two don’t discuss the woman they both used to date. That said, the tennis legend claims his friend has moved on from the romance that ended so long ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I actually spoke to him. I really have. He\u2019s good. He moved on, he has his family,” he shared with Piers Morgan on his show<\/a>. “No, we actually never spoke about it. We are both very uncomfortable. We still remain mates, so it\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also gave more insight into how the relationship with his wife formed, along with details on how they met. \u201cI believe in destiny for sure. She used to play tennis but we never met through tennis while she was playing it, but she dated one tennis player that is a friend of mine from early days,” he told Morgan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was funny, because the first time I heard about her was when that friend, who was in the same tennis club as me, played a match in the regional tennis league and we won, an important match.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe took out his jersey and underneath the jersey he had a white shirt written, \u2018Jelena, I love you. This is for you.\u2019 And we were like, \u2018Oh my God that\u2019s so lame, why would you do that?\u2019 And then, \u2018Who is this Jelena?\u2019 And it was her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Novak Djokovic noted that the two remained in contact throughout the years, eventually dating and tying the knot. The legend admitted that she is “basically the only serious” relationship he’s had and that she’s “truly the love” of his life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tennis great also has been very affectionate when speaking about his wife. Referring to himself as her “wolf,” he noted the difficulties of having to live a life as complex as theirs, but through it all, Jelena Djokovic remains by his side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It can be very stressful to run with the wolf,” he admitted in the past<\/a>. “I know that she doesn\u2019t enjoy it at all times. It\u2019s kind of living on the edge with the wolf.
