Applications are now open for the 2026 Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy. <\/a>The Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy 2026 is an 8-month\u00a0incubation programme. It\u2019s designed to provide entrepreneurship training and comprehensive support to aspiring artisan entrepreneurs aiming to establish new businesses in the\u00a0bricklaying,\u00a0carpentry, electrical, and plumbing\u00a0trades.<\/p>\n Requirements<\/p>\n Age: 18-35<\/p>\n Relevant trade: Bricklaying\/Carpentry\/Electrical\/Plumbing<\/p>\n Unemployed or self-employed (not studying full-time)<\/p>\n Qualified bricklayer, carpenter, electrician or plumber with a trade test<\/p>\n OR, have 3 years work experience in the relevant trade and are ready to take the trade test<\/p>\n OR, N2 Certificate and 3 years work experience in either the bricklaying, carpentry, electrical or plumbing trade<\/p>\n Benefits<\/p>\n Participants will receive a transport allowance of R3000 per month to help cover costs associated with attending the programme.<\/p>\n Application Procedure:<\/p>\n Required documents<\/p>\n N2 Certificate\/National Technical Diploma\/ Trade Test if applicable<\/p>\n Proof of work experience\/Service letters<\/p>\n National Senior Certificate (is advantageous)<\/p>\n Certified Copy of ID<\/p>\n Please Note:<\/p>\n To complete this application, you will need to have an operational email.
