NICK Percat<\/a> will become a Triple Eight Supercars driver next year.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old, who is retiring as a full-timer at the end of the current season, will replace Jamie Whincup<\/a> as Broc Feeney<\/a>\u2019s co-driver for the 2026 The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000.<\/p>\n

The team has also announced Scott Pye<\/a>\u2019s retention alongside Will Brown<\/a>, completing the Red Bull Ampol roster, although a vacancy remains alongside rookie Jackson Walls<\/a> in the incoming SCT entry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to officially welcome Nick to the Triple Eight family and I\u2019m very grateful to have both Nick and Scott showing trust in us to deliver them fast and reliable race cars,\u201d said Whincup, who is co-owner and manager director of the Banyo operation.<\/p>\n

For Percat, it\u2019s a return to Ford \u2013 and a golden opportunity to add to his tally of six Supercars Championship race wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am extremely excited to be driving at Triple Eight and to be honest it was the only team I wanted to be with,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPutting myself with the best possible team on and off the track with the calibre of staff and drivers at Triple Eight was the priority for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve driven together before and also get along really well off-track and out of the garage. I\u2019ve also known Broc\u2019s race engineer Marty (Short) since my early racing days so it was a perfect fit.<\/p>\n
