It\u2019s been long speculated, but Valve has today announced three pieces of hardware including a home console\/PC hybrid in the Steam Machine, a new VR headset in the Steam Frame and a new Steam Controller which all run SteamOS and are designed to push PC gaming in new directions.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
STEAM MACHINE FEATURES<\/p>\n
The Steam Machine is a mini PC that is shaped as a 6-inch cube and runs SteamOS. It has 6x the power of the Steam Deck and targets 4K gaming at 60FPS with FSR. It\u2019ll be available in 512GB and 2TB options both which can be expanded via MicroSD and it has 1 Gigabit Ethernet. DisplayPort 1.4. HDMI 2.0. One USB-C and four USB-A ports.<\/p>\n

STEAM CONTROLLER FEATURES<\/p>\n
The new Steam Controller comes with a puck that acts as a wireless transmitter but is also a magnetic charging station. It has magnetic thumb sticks, HD rumble, grip enabled gyro controls, the trackpads that we\u2019ve come to know and love and all of the expected Steam buttons that you\u2019ll need.<\/p>\n

STEAM FRAME FEATURES<\/p>\n
Valve also announced a new VR headset in the Steam Frame which is a wireless headset that takes advantage of streaming but it\u2019s also a standalone VR headset thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor. It has pancake lenses at 2160 x 2160 per eye that utilise LCD panels at 72-144hz and the controllers are just as you\u2019d expect.<\/p>\n
