{"id":280894,"date":"2025-11-13T03:08:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T03:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/280894\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T03:08:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T03:08:21","slug":"coulthard-bringing-red-bull-winner-to-adelaide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/280894\/","title":{"rendered":"Coulthard bringing Red Bull winner to Adelaide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img width=\"1500\" height=\"1025\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/David-Coulthard-with-RB7.jpg\" class=\"attachment-featuredImage size-featuredImage wp-post-image\" alt=\"David Coulthard with RB7\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>By Thomas Miles<\/p>\n<p class=\"postdate\">Date posted: 13 November 2025<\/p>\n<p>On the 40th anniversary of the first ever Adelaide Grand Prix, legend David Coulthard will bring F1 back to those streets at the Supercars Grand Final.<\/p>\n<p>Former Red Bull drivers Coulthard and Scott Speed will drive the RB7 at the bp Adelaide Grand Final across a series of demonstration runs.<\/p>\n<p>Two runs a day will take place from Thursday to Sunday, with the unmistakable scream of the Renault V8 engine the latest reason to enjoy the bumper Supercars finale.<\/p>\n<p>Coulthard was one of the most famous figures from the nineties and early 2000s, having amassed 247 races from 1994 to 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Williams selected him following the tragic death of Ayrton Senna in 1994 and took part in the final Adelaide Grand Prix in 1995 when he infamously crashed in the pit lane entry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-56198\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-56198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/d03aus1209-875x585.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"875\" height=\"585\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-56198\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Juan Pablo Montoya, David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen on the 2003 Australian GP podium. Image: Motorsport images<\/p>\n<p>However, Melbourne saw the very best of the Scot as he took two famous wins for McLaren in the eventful 1997 and 2003 races.<\/p>\n<p>There were two of his 13 wins and 62 podiums until he ended his career at the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix with Red Bull.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdelaide has an incredible motorsport passion, you can feel it from the moment you arrive,\u201d Coulthard said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Adelaide Street Circuit was my first Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and I\u2019m excited to bring that same magic to this iconic event with Oracle Red Bull Racing for a special anniversary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>American Speed also has his own Red Bull history, representing junior team Toro Rosso for two seasons in 2006 and 2007 with a best result of ninth in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdelaide has a legendary place in motorsport history, with some of the best fans in the world,\u201d Speed said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102974\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-102974\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Scott-Speed-with-RB7-875x583.jpg\" alt=\"Scott Speed with RB7\" width=\"875\" height=\"583\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-102974\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Scott Speed with the RB7 in Racing Bulls colours.
