At-home wellness has become increasingly popular <\/a>in recent years, but it has often been reserved for those with deep pockets. For instance, an at-home sauna<\/a> was previously something many of us could only dream of having, but this Black Friday, Kmart<\/a> has one for just $129.<\/p>\n

The Foldable Sauna Pod could end up being very popular, especially those living in smaller apartments who want the convenience of a spa-like environment in their own homes. A Kmart spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle this could be a great way to jump into the trend.<\/p>\n

“We know that Australians want to save without sacrificing the wellness routines they love, which is why the Sauna Pod is a smart, affordable solution,” they said.<\/p>\n

“Priced at just $129, it offers a quick, easy setup so customers can create an on-demand relaxation or post-workout recovery space at home.<\/p>\n

“The added bonus is that it\u2019s compact enough to pack away or leave assembled as long as you need!”<\/p>\n

Other indoor saunas that have wooden structures Revel Saunas<\/a>‘ offering can set you back up to $3,999, but not everyone has a few thousand dollars to splurge.<\/p>\n

A comparable product to Kmart’s is Recovry Zone’s Sauna Elite<\/a>, which is usually priced at $360 but is currently on sale for $249.95, or Vital+’s SaunaPod<\/a> is on sale for $345, down from $495.<\/p>\n

Kmart’s Sauna Pod is 80cm long, 80cm wide and 1.8m high when fully set up and will reach a maximum internal temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n

Saunas are typically in the range of 70-90 degrees Celsius<\/a>, but talk to anyone who has been outside in Australia on a 40 degree day and they’ll likely tell you they were sweating.<\/p>\n

The Sauna Pod is made from a durable, heat-sealed, thick cotton fabric for ideal heat insulation.<\/p>\n

There are nine adjustable heat levels and a three-litre steamer capacity, plus there’s also a foldable chair that supports up to 100kg.<\/p>\n

The product, along with a $99 LED Workout Mat, which claims to promote relaxation and helps relieve everyday discomfort, and a $229 Reformer Pilates Machine<\/a>, will be available to purchase from 8am on Thursday, November 27.<\/p>\n

Kmart has revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the Sauna Pod will provide full-body heat therapy for detoxification, relaxation, improved circulation and muscle recovery.<\/p>\n

They also add that it’s best used after exercise, in the morning, or during evening wind-downs.<\/p>\n

How do I use Kmart’s Foldable Sauna Pod?<\/p>\n

Kmart claims that there are several different benefits you can experience depending on the time of day you use it.<\/p>\n

A typical session is 15-20 minutes, but you can adjust the timing based on your comfort and experience level.<\/p>\n

You might not want to spend the whole 15 minutes in the pod when you’re first starting out, as it might feel like too much.<\/p>\n

What are the benefits of using a sauna?<\/p>\n

In the morning, you may find that you get a boost of energy, mental clarity, and glowing skin.<\/p>\n

In the evening, you might feel more relaxed and have better sleep if you use the sauna one to two hours before bedtime.<\/p>\n

Post-workout is also the perfect time to use the sauna pod, as it can promote muscle recovery and reduce soreness.<\/p>\n

Studies<\/a> have found that sauna use can increase heart rate and blood circulation, similar to moderate exercise, and it can have a positive effect on blood pressure when combined with physical activity.<\/p>\n
