Married At First Sight stars Martha Kalifatidis<\/a> and Michael Brunelli<\/a> have announced the gender of their second child after their initial reveal didn’t quite go to plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And it seems, her baby dreams have come true. \ufeff<\/p>\n

As their two-year-old son Lucius was supposed to reveal the gender to his parents, he kept tight-lipped leaving Martha to ask her uncle for the news.<\/p>\n

“Is it a girl or boy?” Martha tried one more time with Looch.<\/p>\n

Looking to her Uncle Enzo for answers, he revealed: “It’s a girl!”<\/p>\n

It was an incredibly sweet moment for Martha who in the past admitted she had “planned [her] whole life for this girl”.<\/p>\n

\ufeffSpeaking on KISS FM’s radio show Will & Woody \ufeffwhile she was pregnant with Looch in 2023, Martha confessed she was “100 per cent sure I was having a girl”.<\/p>\n

“Like, I had only opened girl clothing tabs on my phone, I was so convinced,” she said at the time.<\/p>\n

“There was no chance in my mind it was going to be a boy, I had planned my whole life for this girl.”<\/p>\n

Of course she was super grateful and excited to welcome her baby boy, but her girl-mum dreams are now coming with true with bub number two.<\/p>\n

Martha and Michael announce baby number two<\/p>\n

In October 2025, the TV golden couple took to Instagram to reveal they are expecting baby number two.<\/p>\n

They made the announcement \ufeffwith a video of first born Lucius, 2, kissing his mum’s belly.<\/p>\n

“Knocked up n’ knocked out. Will be back bigger (\ud83e\udd30\ud83c\udffb) and better soon\u2026 fingers crossed!\ufeff” they wrote.<\/p>\n

Fans will recall Martha’s struggle with hyperemesis gravidarum<\/a>, severe nausea and vomiting, during pregnancy, \ufeffbefore they welcomed Looch into the world in February 2023.<\/p>\n

The couple first laid eyes on each other at their opulent wedding ceremony in Melbourne, with the entire affair airing to the nation in 2019.<\/p>\n

In December 2021, Michael and Martha confirmed their engagement.<\/a><\/p>\n

Michael and Martha announce their first pregnancy \ufeff<\/p>\n

In August 2022, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together<\/a> and had discovered the news during their trip to Europe.<\/p>\n

Martha had been away from social media for weeks amid a mystery illness, but returned to announce the news alongside fianc\u00e9 Michael in a joint video post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the exciting footage the couple revealed her pregnancy journey so far hadn’t been smooth sailing, with complications leaving the reality star bedridden for weeks.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a minute since we’ve been online<\/a>, so we wanted to explain our situation and make a little bit of an announcement, and that is that Martha is pregnant,” Michael revealed.<\/p>\n

“But at five weeks I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum<\/a>, which is basically severe chronic nausea and vomiting with no relief. It is like 24\/7. I literally did not get out of bed for two months, I was so sick. I could not eat or drink anything. There were days that I did not even get up to pee.”<\/p>\n

Martha went on to reveal she lost 10 kilograms in just five weeks and had constantly been “in and out of the emergency room at hospital”.<\/p>\n

“Here in Melbourne I’m seeing an amazing doctor and she has given me some medication which has literally been life-changing. It is helping me to feel human again and to start moving around again,” Martha continued.<\/p>\n

The couple went on to explain that while they’d wanted to share the news with their followers, they felt it was too early to announce their pregnancy.<\/p>\n

“We kind of just had to disappear offline and give a couple of excuses, and there were a lot of people that were concerned,” Michael revealed.<\/p>\n

Michael also shared some photos on his Instagram story, revealing they found out Martha was pregnant while in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n

Martha and Michael welcome baby Lucius<\/p>\n

On February 27, 2023, the couple became first-time parents.<\/p>\n

They announced the safe arrival of the baby boy on Instagram, and revealed his adorable name.<\/p>\n

“Lucius Brunelli. He’s here, he’s perfect,” Martha wrote alongside a photo of their son.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The name Lucius is a boy’s name of Latin origin, meaning “light”.<\/p>\n

Michael commented on the post to tell followers the correct pronunciation, writing: “LOO-SHUS” if you’re wondering \ud83d\ude05\ud83d\udc99.”<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe post was flooded with congratulatory messages from followers, friends and family. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Since Looch’s birth, the couple have regularly given insight into the lucky tot growing up \u2013 from his birthday celebrations to family trips both across Australia and abroad.<\/p>\n
