BYD ATTO 1 Pricing Announced &#8211; Australia\u2019s Cheapest New EV is Under $25K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Australian pricing has been confirmed for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsauce.com\/car-brand\/byd\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BYD<\/a> ATTO 1 four-seat electric hatchback, with prices starting from $23,990 before on-road costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This officially makes it the cheapest new electric car on sale in Australia, a title it claims from BYD\u2019s own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsauce.com\/car-news\/byd-introduces-australias-first-sub--30-000-ev#:~:text=The%20Essentials%20range%20is%20BYD&#039;s,key%20safety%20and%20performance%20elements.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dolphin Essential<\/a>, priced at $29,990 before on-road costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Measuring 3,990mm long, 1,720mm wide, and 1,590mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,500mm, the ATTO 1 is similarly sized to the likes of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsauce.com\/car-news\/2024-toyota-yaris-price-and-specs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Toyota Yaris<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsauce.com\/car-review\/2024-mazda-2-facelift-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mazda 2<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsauce.com\/car-review\/2024-mg3-hybrid-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MG3<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6914f98480d6830f6e8b5263_BYD_ATTO 1_EXTERIOR_8.webp.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Two variants make up the BYD ATTO 1 range: the entry-level Essential model and the range-topping Premium variant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The ATTO 1 Essential powers its front wheels with a 65kW and 175Nm electric motor, sourcing electricity from a 30kWh Blade Battery. It accelerates from 0-100km\/h in 11.1 seconds and has a WLTP driving range of 220km.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It supports 11kW AC charging and 65kW DC fast charging, the latter allowing 10 to 80 per cent charges to be completed in 30 minutes, and 30 to 100 per cent charges in 25 minutes.\u00a0It also supports vehicle-to-load functionality. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6914f99080d6830f6e8b608b_BYD_ATTO 1_EXTERIOR_9.webp.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Standard exterior features include 15-inch steel wheels, halogen headlights, LED daytime running lights, rear light bar, and high-mounted brake light, and electrically adjustable and heated mirrors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Inside, the Essential gets a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, synthetic leather seats, and four-way manually adjustable front seats.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<p>Standard safety features include, but are not limited to, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive and Intelligent Cruise Control, front, front side and curtain airbags, rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/6914f9a377e721f8e773d129_BYD_ATTO 1_INTERIOR_4.webp.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Premium variant \u2013 priced at $27,990 before on-roads \u2013 increases the motor output to 115kW and 220Nm, and boosts the Blade battery capacity to 43.2kWh.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It accelerates quicker than the entry-level variant, completing the 0-100km\/h run in 9.1 seconds, and it has a further WLTP driving range of 310km.
