In 2024, Korda had six wins before injuring her neck and skipping the LPGA\u2019s fall Asain swing. Calling it \u201cone of my worst injuries ever,\u201d Korda rushed her rehab<\/a> to return at the Annika\u2014and then won<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n A year later, Korda, albeit winless this season, again endured a neck ailment and hasn\u2019t teed it up on the LPGA since the Lotte Championship in early October.\u00a0<\/p>\n dark. Sports Illustrated\u2019s Free Golf Newsletters<\/p>\n So how did the world No. 2 regain her health?<\/p>\n \u201cI put the clubs away for almost three weeks,\u201d Korda said Wednesday at Pelican Golf Club. \u201cWas doing two days in the gym, a lot of neck rehab. I actually posted it on my social media. It\u2019s called the \u2018Iron Neck.\u2019 So I have this thing around my head. I was doing a lot of strength training with that, making sure that my injury is really protected.\u201d<\/p>\n What\u2019s the Iron Neck?<\/p>\n \u201cYou can hook it up to a door, but it pretty much hooks up to a band and you\u2019re trying to hold the positions to strength train the muscles in your neck from all different angles,\u201d the 27-year-old said. \u201cThat\u2019s why it’s kind of like round. It can be hooked up from the back, the sides, doesn\u2019t matter. It\u2019s almost like\u2014I think F1 drivers use it a lot to strength train their neck.\u201d<\/p>\n Before her injury, Korda made 17 starts with eight top 10s. Not bad by any means, but a year after she won seven times, many are waiting to see if she can return to the winner\u2019s circle with only two tournaments left this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, she\u2019s not putting too much pressure on herself to win.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI’m going\u2014I can control what I can control,\u201d the two-time major champion said. \u201cI can\u2019t control what other competitors are doing. The only thing I can control is how much effort I put into each and every day, how I try and execute my shots. At the end of the day, that\u2019s all I can do. Obviously, I\u2019m very, very competitive and what I want to do on Sunday is hoist the trophy.
