Then, at the announcement press conference for the rematch with Benn, which takes place this Saturday, exclusively live on DAZN, Eubank Jr. accused Benn and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, of stopping his ambulance from making the trip to the hospital. <\/p>\n
With threats of legal action from Hearn, Eubank Jr. added further fuel to the fire by sharing footage of a supposed incident on social media. <\/p>\n

That isn\u2019t stopping Hearn though, who said on talkSPORT that he wants an apology.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want a retraction of the comment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat you cannot do is lie about the fact that somehow I stopped the ambulance from leaving. I had no idea Chris Eubank was going to hospital until I think we were about to walk into the press conference of the fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was one (o\u2019clock) in the morning… this isn\u2019t about suing him for reputational defamation of millions of pounds. I\u2019m not interested in that. What you\u2019re saying is I have deliberately put your life in danger. No way ever and don\u2019t you ever say that and you will pay the consequences for saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n
As fight week continues in London, Benn and Eubank Snr. appeared during Jim White and Simon Jordan\u2019s show on talkSPORT to give their thoughts on Eubank Jr.\u2019s recent comments.<\/p>\n
Nigel Benn was the first to appear on the show, and he was quick to dismiss Eubank Jr.\u2019s claims. <\/p>\n
He revealed that Eubank Jr. and his father got to the hospital before himself and Conor, with Eubank Jr. already undergoing recovery for the punishment that was inflicted during the fight. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a load of BS because Eubank was on a bed, lying 50 yards, covered up, and me and Chris Snr., we were talking to Conor in the hospital,\u201d Benn said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMe and Conor got into the ambulance straightaway and just went, he was already there before us with his dad. I don\u2019t know, he can say he was held up. He was already there, laid out.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s a sympathy vote.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chris Eubank Snr. was then given his chance to give his side of the story. <\/p>\n
When asked by Simon Jordan as to whether he agreed with his son\u2019s ambulance being stopped from leaving Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the British boxing legend gave the following two-word response, \u201cOf course.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eubank Snr. then moved the conversation away from the ambulance incident and instead decided to focus on the everlasting damage the first fight had on both Eubank Jr. and Benn.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe damage of that fight, what it did to the two of them, it shows up with Junior in three to four years,\u201d Eubank Snr. said.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one cares about that. All these things people keep on saying about the weight, you\u2019re not going to prove me wrong. I\u2019ve seen this, I\u2019ve been through this, I\u2019ve lived through this.\u201d<\/p>\n
With Sunday\u2019s (8.45am AEDT) rematch taking place at middleweight, expect the weight of Eubank Jr. to be a topic of conversation once more. <\/p>\n
Eubank Jr. missed the 160lb limit the day before his first meeting with Benn and was fined \u00a3375,000 as a result, and there are concerns he could miss the weight limit once more ahead of the rematch following previous struggles.<\/p>\n
