{"id":283644,"date":"2025-11-14T09:24:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T09:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/283644\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T09:24:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T09:24:12","slug":"shogun-season-two-sets-filming-start","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/283644\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Shogun&#8221; Season Two Sets Filming Start"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/shogun-season-two-sets-filming-start.jpg\" data-caption=\"FX\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/shogun-season-two-sets-filming-start.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"shogun-season-two-sets-filming-start\"\/><\/a>FX<\/p>\n<p>FX has confirmed that the second season of \u201cSh\u014dgun\u201d will begin shooting in January, with first-season stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Cosmo Jarvis set to reprise their roles of Lord Yoshii Toranaga and John Blackthorne respectively.<\/p>\n<p>A very brief official synopsis has been released with the action set to take place a decade after the first season and \u201ccontinues the historically-inspired saga of these two men from different worlds whose fates are inextricably entwined\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Newcomers for the new run include Asami Mizukawa as Aya, Masataka Kubota as Hy\u016bga, Sho Kaneta as Hidenobu, Takaaki Enoki as Lord Ito and Jun Kunimura as G\u014dda.<\/p>\n<p>Other returnees include Fumi Nikaid\u00f4, Shinnosuke Abe, Hiroto Kanai, Yoriko D\u00f4guchi, Tommy Bastow, Yuko Miyamoto, Eita Okuno and Yuka Kouri.<\/p>\n<p>Hiromi Kamata, Takeshi Fukunaga, Anthony Byrne, Kate Herron and series co-creator Justin Marks will direct episodes of the second season.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Kondo, Marks, Shannon Goss, Matt Lambert, Maegan Houang, Emily Yoshida, Caillin Puente and Sofie Somoroff pen the new season.<\/p>\n<p>Michaela Clavell, Edward L.
