Tasmania\u2019s Chair of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers has resigned from the role in the wake of the party\u2019s sole MP voting in support of Hobart\u2019s AFL waterfront stadium.<\/p>\n
Carlo Di Falco had previously been opposed to the project, but joined in the development\u2019s approval in the lower house last night (Thursday).<\/p>\n
\u201cI do have the full support of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers and I\u2019m a founding member of the party so obviously I\u2019ve got the best interests of the party at heart and at the end of the day I had to listen to the constituents.\u201d<\/p>\n

President of the Shooters Union Tasmania Phillip Bigg, who stepped down from the party earlier this year, alerted us to the resignation of Adrian Pickin as Chair of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis (Carlo Di Falco) choice is his choice and the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers even well before I was involved always supported the right to freedom of speech and you have freedom of independence but to cross the party line is something else altogether.\u201d <\/p>\n
The upper house of parliament will vote on the development next month.<\/p>\n
