Yeoh debuted a blonde bob at Thursday\u2019s event, where she posed on the yellow brick carpet with Ariana Grande<\/a> and Cynthia Erivo<\/a>. Yeoh\u2019s latest cut was a blend of blonde and medium brown and was chopped chin-length, with her platinum highlights appearing even more pronounced in certain lights.<\/p>\n Getty<\/p>\n Michelle Yeoh in Singapore on November 13, 2025 Getty<\/p>\n Michelle Yeoh in London on November 10, 2025<\/p>\n As WWD<\/a> pointed out, Yeoh\u2019s latest look is likely the work of her longtime hairstylist Renato Campora, and it\u2019s not the first time she\u2019s switched up her hair for the Wicked franchise. The actress debuted a similar blonde style exactly one year ago, when part one of the film adaptation premiered in November 2024; Yeoh plays Madame Morrible in the movies, the second part of which hits theaters on November 21.<\/p>\n Speaking in January of this year<\/a>, Campora called Yeoh his muse, saying that \u201cMichelle is so classy and fashionable inside and out that I actually look to her.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMichelle is very enthusiastic about playing with different looks, which in the moment is very inspiring to me,\u201d he added. \u201cMy creative process is very exciting. I would say it\u2019s 50 percent planned and 50 percent spontaneous.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to her noteworthy hair change, Yeoh\u2019s Iris Van Herpen haute couture gown<\/a> turned heads. The gown\u2019s tone shifted from bronze to smoky violet, and the fluid, structural gown is from the brand\u2019s fall 2025 collection. She paired the dress with Mikimoto jewelry and a Richard Mille watch, a piece that has become her signature.<\/p>\n Though at this point it\u2019s impossible to not imagine Wicked in two parts, it wasn\u2019t always envisioned that way, Yeoh told People<\/a>. The decision to break the movie into two parts \u201cis very much like the musical, you know? You have part one, intermission, part two.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think there was talk: \u2018Maybe we should just [squish] it together,\u2019\u201d she continued, but, as she put it, \u201cThere\u2019s so many nuances.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAfter you saw Wicked One, you felt, \u2018I saw a complete film\u2014but I want to know more about what\u2019s gonna happen next,\u2019\u201d Yeoh said.<\/p>\n Admittedly, before signing on to the franchise, Yeoh said she didn\u2019t know much about the musical when director Jon M. Chu\u2014who previously worked with Yeoh on Crazy Rich Asians\u2014approached her about joining the cast.<\/p>\n \u201cI at that point had no clue what he was talking about, because I had not seen Wicked the musical before,\u201d she told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. \u201cI knew Wizard of Oz\u2014who doesn\u2019t\u2014but not Wicked, because I hadn\u2019t been going to the theaters and not doing what I love, which is watching musicals, for quite a while, I hate to say.\u201d<\/p>\n Getty<\/p>\n Michelle Yeoh, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo on November 13, 2025<\/p>\n Of the prospect of singing\u2014which Yeoh said she loved doing, \u201cbut normally it\u2019s in the shower, not when there\u2019s other people around\u201d\u2014she confessed that she \u201cwas terrified, I was not just nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n But working with a vocal coach and the encouragement of castmates like Erivo put her at ease. \u201cMost of my singing parts are with Cynthia,\u201d Yeoh said. \u201cShe said, \u2018Just sing it out, girl. I can hear you singing.
