Are you an AT&T customer or have you been one in the past? If so, don’t delay because customers have until Dec. 18 to apply for a share of a $177 million class action settlement related to two data incidents from 2024.<\/p>\n
The data breaches exposed customer data such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, account passcodes, billing account numbers, and Social Security numbers.<\/p>\n
Current or former AT&T customers affected by the breaches can file a claim, with the possibility of receiving up to $7,500 if impacted by both incidents.<\/p>\n
Customers must submit their claims by Dec. 18 and waive the right to sue AT&T for related issues by doing so. Submit a claim by visiting the\u00a0website of the settlement administrator<\/a>, Kroll Settlement Administration. Class members can also opt-out for the sake of filing their own suit or make an objection before Nov. 17.<\/p>\n The court will hold a hearing on Jan. 15, 2026, to decide on the settlement’s approval, with potential delays due to appeals. It’s worth noting that AT&T denies any wrongdoing in the breaches that potentially exposed the personal data of millions to the dark web.<\/p>\n
