COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) has issued a strong reminder to all medical practitioners to strictly adhere to the official guidelines for writing and recommending prescriptions.<\/p>\n
The SLMC revealed that complaints have been received from pharmacists and the public regarding unclear and illegible prescriptions issued by certain doctors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to the Council, this lack of clarity has made it difficult to identify the correct medication, posing a serious threat to patient safety.<\/p>\n
The SLMC emphasized that its Code of Professional Conduct includes detailed instructions on how prescriptions should be written and recommended.\u00a0<\/p>\n
