Australia\u2019s top cyclists will be recognised early next month when the 2025 AusCycling Awards take place in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Highlight of the evening will be the presentation of Australian cycling\u2019s most prestigious individual honour, the Oppy Medal, named after the legendary Sir Hubert Opperman<\/a>, with additional awards to be announced across all cycling and para-cycling disciplines.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is more than an awards ceremony\u2014it\u2019s a celebration of our entire cycling community,\u201d AusCycling CEO Marne Fechner said<\/a> of the 2025 awards.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the track to the trails, world champions and Grand Tour stars, we\u2019re honouring the achievements and stories that make Australian cycling so special. It\u2019s going to be a special night\u2014a chance to bring together the past, present and future of Australian cycling under one roof.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who are the Oppy Medal favourites in 2025?<\/p>\n

The official finalists\u00a0won\u2019t be announced until the week before the ceremony. However, favourites for this year\u2019s AusCycling Awards are expected to include (listed in alphabetical order):<\/p>\n

3x 2025 Para-cycling Track World Champion (C4) Korey Boddington<\/p>\n

2x 2025 Giro d\u2019Italia Women stage winner and GC podium finisher Sarah Gigante<\/p>\n

3x 2025 Track World Championship medalist Leigh Hoffman<\/p>\n

2025 BMX Freestyle World Championship bronze medalist Logan Martin<\/p>\n

3x 2025 Para-cycling Track World Champion (C3) Emily Petricola<\/p>\n

2025 BMX Racing World Cup champion and 2025 World Championship silver medalist Saya Sakakibara<\/p>\n

2025 Il Lombardia podium finisher and 2025 Tour of the Alps winner Michael Storer<\/p>\n

2025 World Championship ITT silver medalist and 2x 2025 Vuelta\u00a0a\u00a0Espa\u00f1a stage winner and Mountains Classification winner Jay Vine.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s Oppy Medal was jointly awarded to 2024 Paris Olympic Games gold medalists Grace Brown and Saya Sakakibara.<\/p>\n

Other past winners<\/a> have included Cadel Evans (x3), Anna Meares (x2), Robbie McEwen (x2), Stuart O\u2019Grady (x2), Sid Patterson, and the inaugural winner, Russell Mockridge, in 1958.<\/p>\n

2025 AusCycling Hall of Fame Inductees<\/p>\n

In addition to the athlete awards for 2025, the ceremony will also see twelve new members inducted into the prestigious\u00a0AusCycling Hall of Fame<\/a> in recognition of their significant contributions to Australian cycling\u2014on and\/or off the bike.<\/p>\n
