A current commission member with extensive experience in clubland has been appointed AFL Barwon\u2019s new Head of Football.<\/p>\n
Former Geelong West Giants chair Sarah Naylor will take the role that will be left vacant by the departure of the long-serving Michael Limb.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am incredibly honoured to take on the role of Head of Football at AFL Barwon,\u201d Naylor said. <\/p>\n

\u201cCommunity football plays such a vital role in the fabric of our region, and I am passionate about
ensuring that all levels of the game continue to thrive. <\/p>\n
\u201cHaving worked in club and Commission settings, I\u2019ve seen firsthand the opportunities and potential within our leagues, and I am excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of football across the Barwon region.\u201d<\/p>\n
Naylor, who also served as general manager of football at the Giants, holds a Bachelor of Commerce\/Sports Management from Curtin University.<\/p>\n
Her most recent employment has been as a Business Planning Analyst with Geelong-based global technology company Carbon Revolution, which manufactures high-performance carbon fibre wheels.<\/p>\n
\u201cSarah\u2019s appointment is an outstanding result for AFL Barwon and the football community,\u201d AFL Barwon Commission Chair Michelle Gerdtz said. <\/p>\n

Naylor will vacate her commission position as a result of her appointment.<\/p>\n

involvement with the organisation in this new capacity,\u201d Gerdtz said.<\/p>\n

An appointment will be made by Christmas, with the successful applicant to commence in the role in January.<\/p>\n
