Image: Supplied <\/p>\n<p>Ryan Walkinshaw today opened a 100,000sqm facility at 820 Taylors Road, Dandenong South, that will house the group\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will accommodate a workforce of over 800 people across two shifts daily, working across four manufacturing lines, as well as the firm\u2019s engineering centre.<\/p>\n<p>The Walkinshaw Andretti United Supercars team will move into the mega factory next year, with a relocation from its current Clayton South workshop planned for April.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s timed to take place while the team\u2019s new Toyota Supra race cars are tackling a New Zealand double-header, minimising interruption on the squad.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1011647\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/wag_x_salta_rush-23.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\"  \/>\u00a0WAU drivers Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood joined Ryan and Martine Walkinshaw at the opening today, before heading back to Sandown for ride day duties.<\/p>\n<p>The facility has been created in partnership with leading privately-owned property group, Salta,\u00a0at an estimated cost of $100 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday is an incredibly proud day for the entire Walkinshaw Group, it marks a new era in our history, one that will drive us forward as we officially move into our new state-of-the-art facility \u2013 the new home of the Walkinshaw Group here at Nexus Dandenong South,\u201d said Walkinshaw.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince 2018, our business has seen remarkable growth, and our capabilities have expanded significantly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1011648\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/wag_x_salta_rush-27.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt left us needing a bigger footprint, one that not only fit our unique requirements, but would continue our expansion into the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are extremely grateful to Salta for joining us on this journey and bringing this to life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur state-of-the-art facility, especially of this scope and size, allows us to continue to be industry leaders in manufacturing and engineering, and continue to improve our efficiencies across all arms of the group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe truly believe in the strength of Australian manufacturing and engineering, and this should show everyone how committed we are for the long term.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  <a data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/289522\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" alt=\"\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/289522.png\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ryan Walkinshaw, second from left, at the opening of the facility.
