The 2025-2026 Investec Champions Cup<\/a> begins Dec. 5, and we’re just 18 days away from the Sale Sharks hosting the Glasgow Warriors<\/a> at 3 p.m. ET at CorpAcq Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Investec Champions Cup will determine the best team in Europe (and South Africa), as every contender aims to take the title from defending champion Union Bordeaux-B\u00e8gles of the Top 14.<\/p>\n

But like in the film “The Highlander,” there can only be one winner.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Every club will enter the competition believing it can lift the trophy on May 24, 2025, at San Mam\u00e9s Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.<\/p>\n

That includes RC Toulon of the Top 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here are three reasons why RC Toulon can win the 2025-2026 Investec Champions Cup:<\/p>\n

Perhaps Toulon Can Summon The Powers Of The Three-Peat Gods Again<\/p>\n

Toulouse has won the most Investec Champions Cup, but only Toulon has won it in three consecutive seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Toulon won the Champions Cup Final in 2013, 2014 and 2015. No one has done that before. In fact, only Toulouse and Leinster, the two most successful clubs in Champions Cup history, have matched Toulon’s three straight appearances in the final.<\/p>\n

It’s been 11 years this spring since that capped off three-peat, and Toulon has never been back to the final since, but it shows that it can be done again, and again and again.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Toulon is 5-0-3 in Top 14 as of Nov. 5, and that’s just seventh on the table in arguably the toughest league in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Toulon was third on the table at end of last season in the Top 14 and has won the Champions three times, the Challenge Cup once (a winner in 2023 and four times a finalist), four Top 14 championships and nine Top 14 runner-up finishes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Toulon made the quarters last year and lost by three to rival Toulouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After back-to-back years in the Challenge Cup– both times making the final– it’s safe to say Toulon has playoff experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
