Argentina have made roster changes for the final assignment of 2025: Sunday\u2019s test match against England in London. Head Coach Felipe Contepomi has called-up three players while two others, who both played in the win over Scotland<\/a>, have been released.<\/p>\n

Contepomi has added three players who all missed the wins over Wales in Cardiff<\/a> and Scotland in Edinburgh<\/a> through injury. Second-rower Franco Molina, fly half Tom\u00e1s Albornoz and center Lucio Cinti all join Los Pumas in London.<\/p>\n

Franco Molina last played for Argentina in the final round match of the Rugby Championship against South Africa in London<\/a>. He was a replacement that day while Guido Petti and Pedro Rubiolo were the starting second-rowers.<\/p>\n

Tom\u00e1s Albornoz was injured in round two of the Rugby Championship against New Zealand<\/a>, suffering a broken hand. He returned for round five against South Africa but was hurt again<\/a>, this time with a hamstring injury. He and Gonzalo Garc\u00eda had been the first-choice halves combination but Contepomi has used the circumstances to expand options with Sim\u00f3n Ben\u00edtez Cruz and Ger\u00f3nimo Prisciantelli being one combination and Agust\u00edn Moyano and Santiago Carreras being another. Garc\u00eda will not face England.<\/p>\n

Lucio Cinti also last played for Argentina against South Africa. In his absence, Contepomi started Justo Piccardo against the Springboks in London and against Wales in Cardiff. Veteran Mat\u00edas Moroni started at outside center in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

The updated roster comes without Efra\u00edn El\u00edas and Mateo Carreras. The former was a replacement against Scotland while the latter started against both Wales and Scotland. El\u00edas replaced Guido Petti while Mat\u00edas Alemanno was the replacement second-rower against Wales, this was with Marcos Kremer playing second-row rather than flanker.<\/p>\n

Having played six consecutive matches, Kremer was intentionally rested against Scotland. He is back in the frame to face England. This contributes to El\u00edas being released. Two additional factors are the return of Franco Molina and the fact that Mat\u00edas Alemanno has 99 caps. He could become a centurion at Twicckenham Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Mateo Carreras is out through injury. He suffered a muscular injury against Scotland. He played the full 80 minutes in Edinburgh, making 19 carries and gaining 104 meters in carries. No player has been called-up in his place as Bautista Delguy can slot in after having been rested against Scotland.<\/p>\n
