\u201cRangers are no further forward as to who their number nine is – the top goalscorer from last season is still being linked with moves away, he’s not played a lot of football, and he’s still got a level of fitness to get to.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, there’s still no guarantee who’s going to be that number nine for Rangers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf Mikey Moore is to come in, it’s a big ask for him to come in and be Rangers’ number nine and lead the attack.<\/p>\n

Rangers have one foot in the Champions League third qualifying round as they head to Greece with a precious 2-0 first leg lead.<\/p>\n
But Boyd expects Panathinaikos to come flying out of the traps tomorrow night in the scorching heat of Athens.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cIf you go on last week’s performance against Panathinaikos, there’s still a bit of work to be done for Rangers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith Russell Martin coming in and implementing a new style, it\u2019s not going to be fixed overnight and there\u2019s no doubt there were going to be some teething problems and that’s going to be the case for a number of weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you’re coming in and you want to implement the style of play that he wants, you’re going to make mistakes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere’s going to be scary moments within the games.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you go back to last week, Rangers would\u2019ve bitten your hard off for a 2-0 victory before the game.<\/p>\n
