Kai Trump shot a 13-over-par 83 on Friday AEDT in her LPGA Tour debut in The Annika, leaving United States President Donald Trump<\/a>‘s granddaughter last in the 108 player field.<\/p>\n

The high school senior bogeyed the first four holes and finished the birdie-less round with nine bogeys and two double bogeys.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I hit a lot of great shots out there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The University of Miami recruit is playing on a sponsor exemption.<\/p>\n

Trump was the youngest player in the field at 18 years old and currently sits in 461st in the American Junior Golf<\/a> Association rankings.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was pretty cool because I know I hit it far, but kind of playing with the best players in the world and being literally right there or even outdriving on some of the holes, it felt pretty good,\u201d said Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr.<\/p>\n

\u201cFelt like my game is in a good spot, and especially only being a senior in high school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haeran Ryu led the tournament at 6-under-par 64, also playing in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Grace Kim of Australia was second after carding a 65. <\/p>\n

“I knew that wind was going to be up a little bit, and knowing this course is generally on the tougher side, I just kind of just played my own game,” Kim said.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t focus too much on a specific score as such.
