\n\tDaniel Radcliffe<\/a> played Harry Potter<\/a> across eight films<\/a>, and as the book series is rebooted as an HBO series<\/a>, the actor reached out to the young actor taking on the lead role<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview on Good Morning America, Radcliffe revealed that he had penned a letter to Dominic McLaughlin<\/a> as he took on the challenge of portraying Harry Potter in a television series.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say that anyone who is going to play Harry has to [reach out to me], but I know a few people working on the production,\u201d Radcliffe said on the ABC morning show. \u201cI wrote to Dominic and sent him a letter, and he sent me a very sweet note back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRadcliffe added that he didn\u2019t \u201cwant to be a specter in the life of these children\u201d but wrote him a letter to say, \u201c\u2018I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did \u2014 I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time.\u2019<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd I do, I just see these pictures of him and the other kids and I just want to hug them,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey just seem so young. I just look at them and say, \u2018Oh it\u2019s crazy I was doing that at that age.\u2019 But it\u2019s also incredibly sweet, and I hope they\u2019re having a great time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other actors on the show include Paapa Essiedu <\/a>as potions master Snape<\/a>,\u00a0Jo<\/a>hn Lithgow as headmaster<\/a> Albus Dumbledore<\/a>,\u00a0Janet McTeer\u00a0as Minerva McGonagall<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
