{"id":293986,"date":"2025-11-19T03:39:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T03:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/293986\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T03:39:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T03:39:16","slug":"supercars-team-tickford-racings-new-owners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/293986\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars team Tickford Racing&#8217;s new owners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE change of ownership structure for Tickford Racing raises many questions, but perhaps the biggest one is \u2013 exactly who are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/new-majority-owner-for-supercars-team-tickford\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new majority owners, Altor Capital<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>The Brisbane-based company describes itself as an \u2018alternative asset specialist\u2019 making investments in a range of businesses and entities.<\/p>\n<p>The financial advisory and asset management firm, Prime Financial Group, acquired Altor Capital in early 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Prime is an ASX-listed diversified financial services and advisory firm with Altor Capital its wholly owned alternative asset manager investing in \u2018growth-oriented mid-market companies\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/frosty-mark-winterbottom-autobiography-book-pre-order?utm_source=SRBuyButton&amp;utm_medium=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/frosty-autobio_1024x1024.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prime was engaged by Tickford in 2024 to run a fact-finding mission and help find fresh investment for the business.<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, it will itself become the new majority owner of the team via Altor Capital.<\/p>\n<p>From a sporting perspective Altor Capital is perhaps best known for purchasing a controlling stake in the Tasmania JackJumpers National Basketball League (NBL) franchise earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Current Tickford Racing CEO Simon Brookhouse was the inaugural CEO of the Tasmania JackJumpers from 2020 until departing in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>He commenced in his current role with Tickford in early 2024.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/AUSGP-friday-3-21-of-100-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175003\"  \/>Simon Brookhouse.
