Twelve Foot Ninja guitarist Steve “Stevic” MacKay has confirmed he’s working on a new project. The update comes as MacKay secures full rights to the band’s catalog and drops a digital compilation covering their discography. Weeks ago all music disappeared from streaming services.

The compilation titled The Silly Sausage Survival Pack contains a series of work including:

2008’s New Dawn
2010’s Smoke Bomb
2012’s Silent Machine (Bonus Edition)
2016’s Outlier
2020’s “Stuck With You” (single)
2022’s Vengeance
2024’s Mutant Dreams & Face Transplants

The band’s catalog and released a digital compilation available now via twelvefootninja.com.

Alongside that, MacKay revealed he’s been working on a spiritual successor to the now-defunct Australian metal outfit.

MacMay shared the following:

TL;DR: Flicked my parallel reality fridge magnet, got ALL my rights back, initiated Twelve Foot Ninja v2.0. New EP in the works. No label, no former members. New vocalist.

The quick backstory: The former label agreement is no more. Every obstacle that made TFN impossible is flopping around on the floor like the fish at the end of the Epic video.
TFN as you knew it is over, which I know will disappoint some. The former members were not involved in this and have chosen not to be. I respect their contributions and will never try to erase or replace them. However, I started this weird ADHD genre-bending metal project almost 18 years ago; the compositional approach, music production, comics, humour, and music videos are tethered to my creative identity – That’s not hubris or a Scooby Doo reveal, “that’s just the way it is” – Phil Collins.
(also the Rembrandts & Bruce Hornsby)

So this is not a reboot, recast or tribute – it’s just a continuation of what I started predicated on the notion that fans would prefer something over complete non-existence. I make stuff because I love it and what I make sounds and looks like Twelve Foot Ninja – because it is. That’s why I’ve spent the past 2 years meticulously dismantling logical incoherence.

If you want to stick with me, pull up a pue and help yourself to a silly sausage – I’ve got farkin’ heaps of em!

P.S. 3 pallets of old merch turned up. Adding 1 pallet to the site soon.
Re: the other 2…what’s it bloody called kalled when you kan’t rekall the term for when someone keeps something that isn’t theirs for leverage? My mind has gone blank. Oh well, maybe they will rethink that.

Love to everyone who gets it. Everyone else can get fucked.
