Released NSW Blues<\/a> and Parramatta Eels<\/a> winger Zac Lomax<\/a> has reportedly found himself linked to another competition in the 15-man code that is not the rebel rugby union league known as R360.<\/p>\n

Granted an immediate release from the remainder of his playing contract with the Eels on Sunday, many believe that Lomax is set to become one of the first players announced to be joining R360.<\/p>\n

Given a ten-year ban if he decided to make the move to the rebel league, he could now potentially make the move to another competition in the 15-man code which would technically allow him to come back and play for the Eels until 2028 and another club afterwards from 2029.<\/p>\n

Linked with R360 over the past several months, reports from\u00a0The Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>\u00a0have since emerged that Lomax has decided to pursue options in the French Top 14 rugby union competition.<\/p>\n

While there is no guarantee that he will land a contract with any of the teams in the nation’s top-tier rugby union competition, the released star has decided to engage a leading French rugby union agent.<\/p>\n

This comes as his NRL<\/a> manager, Clinton Schifcofske, confirmed that he has withdrawn from talks with R360<\/a> because he does not want to be banned for ten years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI won’t be having anything to do with R360 moving forward,\u201d the former Canberra Raiders fullback turned manager told Code Sports\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s a 10-year ban in place for agents who take players to R360, and I don’t want to do the wrong thing and cop that. I’m absolutely respectful of the NRL’s position.
\u201cI’m not hiding that I had talks on behalf of my clients, but I was doing my job at the time. If those rules have changed, then I’ll play by them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they want to pursue R360, I’ve told them to get a lawyer to represent them in that space.<\/p>\n
