This year\u2019s season of Dancing With The Stars<\/a>\u00a0might be approaching its end, but Robert Irwin<\/a> is showing no signs of slowing down. The 21-year-old and his dance partner Witney Carson<\/a> performed two routines for this week\u2019s Prince-themed Semi-Finals, starting with a Jive to the singer’s 1984 hit \u2018Baby I\u2019m A Star\u2019.<\/p>\n

The performance kicked off with Robert leaping off the judges\u2019 panel and sliding across the dance floor to Witney. The routine featured matching outfits, Robert flipping over Witney, and plenty of fancy footwork.<\/p>\n

The duo received a perfect score of 30, marking the second week in a row<\/a> they\u2019ve received top marks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am over the moon, this means the world \u2014 this is changing my life and I\u2019m so grateful,\u201d Robert gushed.<\/p>\n

Viewers praise ‘phenomenal’ routine<\/p>\n

While the Dancing With The Stars finale is set to air next week, many viewers declared that they should end the season early and give the title to Robert following his performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cPack it up, everyone else. THIS IS MY MIRRORBALL WINNER,\u201d one person commented.<\/p>\n

\u201cA gentleman, a king, MY MIRRORBALL WINNER!\u201d another added, while a third said, \u201cI could see a mirrorball in his future\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

Others declared that Robert\u2019s performance was their \u201cfavourite dance of the season\u201d, and a huge improvement on his first Jive routine in week one<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoly smokes, that was PHENOMENAL!\u201d a different user remarked, followed by another who said the jive was “made” for Robert.<\/p>\n

Robert’s second performance of the night<\/p>\n

For his second routine, Robert performed a sultry Viennese Waltz to Prince\u2019s song ‘WOW’\u00a0and received enormous praise from the judges.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m your mom, I\u2019m just so proud of you,\u201d judge Carrie Ann Inaba told him before the cameras cut to an equally proud Terri Irwin<\/a> in the audience.<\/p>\n

Robert and Witney received 29 out of 30 for the performance, placing them at the top of the leaderboard for the Semi-Finals.<\/p>\n

The Wildlife Warrior ultimately advanced to next week\u2019s Grand Finale alongside actress Elaine Hendrix, TV personality Dylan Efron, social media star Alix Earle, and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Whitney Leavitt sent home.<\/p>\n

Robert reveals good luck charms from his dad Steve<\/p>\n

The performance comes shortly after Robert opened up about his \u201cgood luck charms\u201d<\/a> that share a sweet connection to his father, Steve<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He explained that he wears the same blue shirt that was once owned by his dad every Tuesday when he and Whitney do their first rehearsals before getting into wardrobe.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore you guys see my dance in costume, I’ve always done that dance, at least once, in dad’s shirt,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just keeps me close to home, it keeps me close to him, it just feels like a big hug every time I put it on.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also wears a \u201creally special\u201d gold ring engraved with the number 1638 for every Dancing With The Stars live show that\u2019s made from a melted-down set of keys to his childhood home.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause Australia Zoo, my home, is 1638 Steve Irwin Way, and I’ve been putting it on every Tuesday morning when I go in for the Dancing With The Stars live taping,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s the most beautiful experience, and in some way, I want him part of it, because this experience has truly changed my life, and I know I wouldn’t be here without him and his legacy that I get to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n
