For his work in Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/a> and as a successful solo artist, Slash<\/a> has inspired countless guitarists the world over. And he can also count actor Charlie Sheen as a fan, it would seem.<\/p>\n

But Sheen \u2013 real name Carlos Irwin Estevez \u2013 is no casual Slash fan; in fact, he once \u201cfanboy chased\u201d Slash all the way to Ireland to watch him perform with his band the Conspirators.<\/p>\n

Charlie Sheen has been friends with Slash for many years, and even gave a roast-style tribute to the guitarist at his Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony back in 2012.<\/p>\n

And in a new interview with Loudwire<\/a>, he shares that he once introduced a show for the Conspirators, and asked them to play one of his favourite songs of theirs \u2013 leaving Myles Kennedy and the rest of the band a short window of time to rehearse it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually fanboy, stalker chased him to Ireland for a Conspirators show,\u201d Sheen explains, \u201cand they asked me to introduce the band at this big, ancient royal hall that they were in. And there\u2019s a song that Myles didn\u2019t sing on. Do you remember the compilation album? [2010\u2019s Slash] Where he was kind of auditioning singers?<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked them to play it, and I think I asked them the day before, so Myles had like 10 hours [while] jet lagged out of his mind to learn that song. Slash comes up to the mic, and he goes, \u2018This is for Carlos!\u2019, and they played the song. It was incredible,\u201d he recalls.<\/p>\n

\u201cSlash and I had a drink afterwards, or I drank and he watched, but he said, \u2018So, you\u2019re here for other stuff, right?\u2019 I said, \u2018What other stuff? What else matters right now?\u2019 And then it dawned on him, post show in Ireland, that I flew in just for that thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
