Collingwood has welcomed four new Magpies to the Club, with\u00a0Tyan\u00a0Prindable,\u00a0Sam Swadling, Zac\u00a0McCarthy\u00a0and\u00a0Angus Anderson\u00a0joining the black and white\u00a0at the second night\u00a0of the\u00a02025\u00a0Telstra\u00a0AFL Draft.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hailing from\u00a0Queensland and a member of\u00a0the Brisbane Lions Academy,\u00a0Prindable\u00a0was\u00a0the first player selected by Collingwood.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u00a0left footer\u00a0played three games at the National Championship level for the Allies, averaging 19 disposals and 5.7 tackles.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The versatile talent\u00a0can\u00a0play both on the inside and outside and will be a strong addition to the\u00a0Pies’\u00a0midfield.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Swadling was Collingwood\u2019s second\u00a0selection\u00a0at pick 37, known for his\u00a0ball skills and\u00a0kicking ability.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Western Australian product\u00a0represented\u00a0his state four times in the 2025 National Championships and has experience playing\u00a0at the\u00a0senior\u00a0level\u00a0in the WAFL on four occasions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Next Generation\u00a0Academy\u00a0product McCarthy\u00a0was the Pies’ third\u00a0at pick 55 from the Oakley\u00a0Chargers and\u00a0Victoria Metro\u00a0in the\u00a0National Championships.\u00a0<\/p>\n
McCarthy, who is of Vietnamese heritage, will be a welcomed addition to the\u00a0Collingwood\u2019s\u00a0growing young talent in the forward line.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
To end the night, Anderson became a Magpie with his name being called at pick 57.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anderson was Captain of the Sydney Swans Academy as a junior and played 18 games across the 2025 SANFL Season, averaging 20.1 disposals and 4.6 tackles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Playing for\u00a0Sturt Football Club in the SANFL, he won the Jack Oatey Medal for best on field in the 2025 Grand Final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
