#0074ff;\">F1 25 video game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes as a major surprise for fans of the sport.<\/p>\n<p>But the games company is reportedly working on a 2027 reboot of the made a very interesting announcement.<\/p>\n<p>It is the sports division of one of the world\u2019s largest video game companies.<\/p>\n<p>Among others, it is responsible for the official <a href=\"https:\/\/supercarblondie.com\/one-detail-of-fords-entry-f1-red-bull-no-one-is-talking-about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"The one detail of Ford&#039;s entry into F1 with Red Bull that no one is talking about\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\">F1<\/a> video game franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Like almost every other sporting series, such as Madden or EA FC, <a href=\"https:\/\/supercarblondie.com\/red-bull-motogp-bike-f1-car-drag-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Red Bull lined up everything from a MotoGP bike to an F1 car in an all-out drag race with eye-opening results\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\">F1<\/a> normally gets a new video game every year.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s reflective of the annual nature of the sporting calendar.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8 ANNOUNCEMENT \ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n<p>EA SPORTS will release a paid expansion for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/F125?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#F125<\/a> in 2026, with the current game serving as the foundation for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 2027 will see the release of a new, reimagined EA SPORTS F1 title, that looks, feels, and plays differently.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcd5 the studio has now confirmed that there won\u2019t be a new game for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>The studio instead plans to release a \u2018paid 2026 season expansion\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>This essentially means that fans will get all the updates that a new game would normally provide.<\/p>\n<p>But it will look and feel exactly the same as this year\u2019s current game \u2013 as it will be a DLC extension.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/supercarblondie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/EA.webp\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\" data-lightbox=\"164348\" data-title=\"Electronic Arts\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" height=\"200\" data-id=\"164363\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ea.com\/games\/f1\/f1-25\/news\/f1-franchise-announcement?ref=uploadvr.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\">EA<\/a> had this to say.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince launch,\u00a0EA Sports\u00a0F1 25 has received praise from players, media, content creators, F1 drivers, and more,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow looking forward, players in F1 25 will be able to expand their experience next year with the full 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe premium content update will bring players closer to the sport\u2019s major changes for 2026 that include new cars, sporting regulations, teams, and drivers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Completely new experience coming for 2027<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully for fans, this appears to be a one-off move.<\/p>\n<p>And that is because Electronic Arts has teased a completely new experience for F127.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe refreshed experience will expand on what long-time players have loved from the franchise, and celebrate the passion of Formula 1 through a game that immerses both new and long-time players in the modern era of the sport,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Since F1 22, the studio and Codemasters have supported PC VR (Virtual Reality) in its games.<\/p>\n<p>Codemasters senior creative director Lee Mather commented on the update.<\/p>\n<p>He confirmed that the studio is still \u2018fully committed to the EA Sports F1 franchise\u2019, saying the decision to release a DLC update for 2026 allows for \u2018the perfect time for us to look ahead and build for the future\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that is also currently unknown is the release date of F1 26.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Formula 1 season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8th.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/supercarblondie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Untitled-design-2025-07-08T183437324.png\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\" data-lightbox=\"164348\" date.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2021, new releases in the series have often come between May and July.<\/p>\n<p>Another detail that is also currently unknown is the price.<\/p>\n<p>Given that F1 26 will simply be a paid extension, we don\u2019t know if that will affect the price or not.<\/p>\n<p>But we are certainly excited to see what updates follow from Electronic Arts.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<script async
